Step One: Choose a Theme

Look through magazines and see what catches your eye. Is it a sea and sand theme or is it regal, rich colors? Is it a casual flip-flop theme or something classy with a French country motif? Your guests won't get to see how the actual inspiration page looked like, so borrow ideas but be willing to accept something not so perfect. Step Four: Choose Small Fixtures and Accessories

You can update any bathroom yourself once you have the walls ready by changing light fixtures and faucets or by just adding new toothbrush holders and soap dispensers. Take notice of framed art or other decorative elements you can put on the wall or candles you can put besides your bath tub. Or even you can find a new magazine rack if you're a bathroom reader or a huge vanity mirror if you're in to beauty treatments.

Matching colour new rugs and towels add the finishing touch and no matter what accessories you choose, they can be the icing on the cake of your do it yourself home improvement project for which you can be proud of.
